A Magazine-Fed Charger? Yes, Please!

Firing Demo:

This project was even more work than the full-auto seer installation and rewire combined.  Given the complexity of the modifications required to get this working, I am not going to release an in-depth tutorial at this time.  If you want to try this modification for yourself, you are welcome to try it.  I will give a basic description of the steps I took to make this modification, and I will include the files I used to create this beast.  Beyond that, you will be on your own.

First, some images of the blaster:

Now, onto the very rough tutorial...

The model files can be found here:  Drive

First, disassemble the blaster.  Next, you will need to cut along the narrow crack molded into the receiver roughly along the lines shown in this image:

Note that this includes cutting out a hole in the back of the stock.  This is necessary to fit the magazine in the blaster.  After that, you will need to cut out a rectangular section of the place where the magazine will feed into the blaster.  Use a print of the feed lips file to make some marks with a sharpie, then cut the rectangle out with a Dremel.  Next, you will need to cut down the integrated magazine tube to size.  It should not interfere with the feed lips when they are installed.  Following that, you will want to cut and file down a portion of the trigger arm so that the feed lips do not interfere with the trigger movement.  The place that needs filing is located near the return spring on the swinging arm.  Be careful not to remove too much material from the arm, otherwise it might break under tension.

Now you can reassemble the blaster and start the body work.  Once this modification is complete, disassembling the blaster will be impossible without damaging the modifications, blaster, or both.

Use epoxy to secure the feed lips to the hole made for it.  Be careful not to let any epoxy get into the mechanisms of the blaster, as this could easily ruin the blaster.  After that, use some Bondo to smooth the seam.  This blaster will require a new paint job, so don't worry about sanding away some of the finish.  Let the Bondo dry, then sand it smooth.  This might take a few runs to get the proper shape.  After that, assemble the magazine release latch and mount.  Use a small spring to add tension to the latch.  Then, use epoxy to attach the mount to the back of the stock.  Now, just give the blaster the best paint job you can, and you're finished.

This isn't much of a tutorial, but I hope that it helped you in some way.  Others have done the magazine conversion differently, but I have not seen anyone post a tutorial on the steps taken to reproduce their modification.  Now I understand why.  This was a lot of work, and it is still far from perfect.  Nevertheless, I felt compelled to share it with anyone who wants to read it.
